It wasn’t much of a vote. Tom Brady won MVP in a landslide and Adrian Peterson won Rookie of the Year in an even bigger landslide.

It was a close game, but Steve Smith’s huge game on Sunday, and LT’s on Monday night was just too much for the Greasy Weasels. The Greasy Weasels picked a bad week to have a bad game. This was just the second time this season that they failed to crack 70 points.

Congrats to Eric and The Undergarments, and Fantasy Bowl XIV MVP Steve Smith.

Greasy Weasels vs. The Undergarments
Well, it’s here. Fantasy Bowl XIV. The Greasy Weasels are 2-2 in Fantasy Bowl games, but they haven’t been there since 1999, and haven’t won it since 1995. The Undergarments are 1-2 in Fantasy Bowl games. They won it back in 2001, but have lost the last two in a row. The Undergarments always seem to play well against the Greasy Weasels though. They are 5-2 in regular season games and 2-0 in playoff games against them.

#2 Z-Squad 67

The Undergarments knocked off Z-Squad for the second straight year and are heading to Fantasy Bowl XIV. This is their third Fantasy Bowl appearance in a row. They lost the last two against Western Division teams, and will face another Western Division team this year.

#1 Greasy Weasels 92
#6 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts 40

The Greasy Weasels got a dominating win and are heading to Fantasy Bowl XIV. The Greasy Weasels are a perennial playoff team, but this will be their first Fantasy Bowl appearance since 1999 when they lost Fantasy Bowl VI to The Wondrful Gazonks.

#2 Z-Squad vs. #3 The Undergarments
The Central Division Champs verses the Eastern Division Champs. This is a rematch of last season’s playoff game. Last year The Undergarments won the matchup and went on to lose to Vinny’s Gang in the Fantasy Bowl. Who is heading to the Fantasy Bowl this season?

#1 Greasy Weasels vs. #6 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts
The Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are fresh off their first ever playoff win. The Greasy Weasels haven’t won a playoff game since 2005, and haven’t been to a Fantasy Bowl since 1999. The winner is heading to the big game.

#6 San Quentin Saints 91

Both teams put up good points, but LT and Jamal Lewis were just too much for the San Quentin Saints. The Undergarments will now face Z-Squad next week with the winner heading to Fantasy Bowl XIV.

#5 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts 96
#4 Vinny’s Gang 58

The Hot Buttered Moose Nuts put up 96 points in their very first playoff win. Both Adrian Peterson’s had bad games along with just about everybody else on Vinny’s Gang’s roster. Vinny’s Gang’s hope of repeating as Fantasy Bowl Champ is over. The Hot Buttered Moose Nuts will face the Greasy Weasels next week with the winner heading to Fantasy Bowl XIV.

#6 San Quentin Saints vs. #3 The Undergarments
The is the first playoff matchup between these two divisional rivals. They split their regular season matchups. The Undergarments won their third straight Central Division Championship this year, but the San Quentin Saints were only a half game behind them.

#5 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts vs. #4 Vinny’s Gang
Vinny’s Gang won it all last year from a wild card spot. They are in the sam situation this year. It’s weird seeing the Hot Buttered Moose Nuts in the playoffs, but this is their fourth playoff apearence. They are still looking for their first playoff win though.

Playoffs Are Here

What a wild ending to the season. The Western and Central Divisions were almost set before the final week, but the Eastern Division was anybody’s. With Vinny’s Gang winning, that left only two playoff spots open to four teams in the Eastern Division. The Grid Iron Bullies played the spoiler and knocked off the Squishy Fuzz, and the Bad Attitudes lost a heart breaker by one point to the Elvis Impersonators. The Undergarments beat the Central Division champs Z-Squad to capture the Eastern Division title. The San Quentin Saints had to beat the Western Division champs Greasy Weasels to obtain the final sixth seed.

I don’t have time to write my weekly commentary about all the games this week. I started looking into the playoff race, but there are too many teams at 8-7. The tie-breaking gets complicated quickly and I don’t have the time to go through all the possibilities. It will be much clearer next week.

My weekly update will be late due to a family emergency. Everybody is doing good now though.
