The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 0.5 point victory by a 14 point effort from Donald Driver, who got by the Cleveland Browns defense for 84 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Ben Roethlisberger, who snuck past the Minnesota Vikings defense for 175 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 1 rushing yards.
“We really took it to ’em,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
San Quentin Saints were helped out in a losing cause by a 13 point effort from Marques Colston, who snuck past the Miami Dolphins defense for 72 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Nate Kaeding, who snuck past the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 3 field goals made and 4 extra points.
“They out-muscled us,” San Quentin Saints coach Sean Boggess said.
Compounding the issue, San Quentin Saints could have scored 80 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Sean Boggess left key players like DeSean Jackson and his corresponding 24 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 4-4, and drops San Quentin Saints to a record of 5-3.
