The Undergarments were led to their 1 point victory by a 27 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 289 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 41 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 9. They also got help from a 8 point effort from Greg Olsen, who snuck past the Buffalo Bills defense for 29 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“This team has overcome a lot of adversity,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Grid Iron Bullies were helped out in a losing cause by a 18 point effort from Hakeem Nicks, who beat the Seattle Seahawks defense for 128 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Nicks was the number 6 ranked wide receiver for week 9. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Matt Ryan, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 235 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 5 rushing yards.
“I’m really proud of our guys,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Causing further embarrassment, Grid Iron Bullies could have scored 74 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Bell left key players like Sebastian Janikowski and his corresponding 12 points on the bench.
The Undergarments took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 9.
This brings the record for The Undergarments to 5-5, and drops Grid Iron Bullies to a record of 4-6.
Coming up in week 10, the 9-1 Z-Squad are at The Undergarments, where The Undergarments are an early 17.2-point underdog, while Grid Iron Bullies are at the 4-6 Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 2.3-point underdog.
