(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Dec 5, 2016) In a week 13 UFFLE intra-divisional showdown, Greasy Weasels squeaked by a tough October Hunters team by a score of 60 to 58, silencing a partisan crowd of 68,075 at The Hunting Grounds.
Greasy Weasels were led to their 2 point victory by a 17 point effort from Le’Veon Bell, who beat the New York Giants defense for 118 rushing yards in addition to 64 receiving yards. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Zach Ertz, who got by the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 79 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“We’re tickled to death,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
October Hunters were helped out in a losing cause by a 22 point effort from Kirk Cousins, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 271 passing yards and 1 passing TD. With this performance, Cousins was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 13. They also got help from a 10 point effort from Darren Sproles, who snuck past the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 14 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 35 receiving yards.
“The ball just didn’t bounce our way,” October Hunters coach Orion Bell said.
Compounding the issue, October Hunters could have scored 61 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Orion Bell left key players like Michael Floyd and his corresponding 7 points on the bench.
Greasy Weasels took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 9 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 13.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 7-6, and drops October Hunters to a record of 6-7.
