Twee Twerps (67) at Z-Squad (59)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Sep 18, 2017) In a week 2 UFFLE classic, Twee Twerps beat a strong Z-Squad team by a score of 67 to 59, silencing a partisan crowd of 69,383 at Frozen Tundra.

Twee Twerps were led to their 8 point victory by a 24 point effort from Todd Gurley, who got by the Washington Redskins defense for 88 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 48 receiving yards. With this performance, Gurley was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 2. They also got help from a 23 point effort from Drew Brees, who tore apart the New England Patriots defense for 356 passing yards and 2 passing TDs.

“You dream about this as a kid,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.

Z-Squad were helped out in a losing cause by a 15 point effort from Marcus Mariota, who got by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 215 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 24 rushing yards. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Leonard Fournette, who snuck past the Tennessee Titans defense for 40 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 21 receiving yards.

“It just wasn’t meant to be,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.

Adding salt to the wound, Z-Squad could have scored 81 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Michael Grosz left key players like Alshon Jeffery and his corresponding 15 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Twee Twerps to 2-0, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 1-1.

Coming up in week 3, the 0-2 Squishy Fuzz are at Twee Twerps, where Twee Twerps are an early 1.5-point favorite, while the 2-0 The Hellfish are at Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 14.5-point favorite.
