The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 11 point victory by a 27 point effort from Russell Wilson, who got by the Washington Redskins defense for 297 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 77 rushing yards. With this performance, Wilson was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 9. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Marshawn Lynch, who snuck past the Miami Dolphins defense for 57 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 6 receiving yards.
“This win is for all the fans,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
Z-Squad were helped out in a losing cause by a 20 point effort from Alshon Jeffery, who got by the Denver Broncos defense for 84 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Jeffery was the number 3 ranked wide receiver for week 9. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Marcus Mariota, who got by the Baltimore Ravens defense for 218 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 6 rushing yards.
“The ball just didn’t bounce our way,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 2-7, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 3-6.
Coming up in week 10, Z-Squad are at the 5-4 The Undergarments, where The Undergarments are an early 4.3-point underdog, while The Wondrful Gazonks are at the 5-4 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 13.7-point favorite.
