Twee Twerps were led to their 7 point victory by a 23 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Minnesota Vikings defense for 285 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 31 rushing yards. They also got help from a 21 point effort from Andre Ellington, who beat the Atlanta Falcons defense for 154 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 8 receiving yards.
“This win was no fluke,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
Bad Attitudes were helped out in a losing cause by a 31 point effort from Drew Brees, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 332 passing yards and 5 passing TDs. With this performance, Brees was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Reggie Bush, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 92 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 30 receiving yards.
“They’ve had our number all season,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.
Adding salt to the wound, Bad Attitudes could have scored 113 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Steve Spickenreuther left key players like Emmanuel Sanders and his corresponding 16 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Twee Twerps to 3-5, and drops Bad Attitudes to a record of 4-4.
Coming up in week 9, Bad Attitudes are at the 6-2 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 9.2-point favorite, while the 6-2 Squishy Fuzz are at Twee Twerps, where Twee Twerps are an early 8.4-point underdog.
