Squishy Fuzz were led to their 3 point victory by a 23 point effort from Tom Brady, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 349 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. With this performance, Brady was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 12. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Jimmy Graham, who snuck past the Baltimore Ravens defense for 47 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.
“We took them out of their game,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.
Grid Iron Bullies were helped out in a losing cause by a 19 point effort from Andrew Luck, who got by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 253 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 49 rushing yards. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Steve Smith, who got by the New Orleans Saints defense for 89 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“I take full responsibility for this loss,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Compounding the issue, Grid Iron Bullies could have scored 81 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Bell left key players like Marques Colston and his corresponding 14 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Squishy Fuzz to 6-6, and drops Grid Iron Bullies to a record of 5-7.
Coming up in week 13, Grid Iron Bullies are at the 2-10 October Hunter, where October Hunter are an early 10.2-point underdog, while Squishy Fuzz are at the 9-3 Twee Twerps, where Twee Twerps are an early 2.3-point favorite.
