With their 136.40 points, Greasy Weasels is now the proud record-holder of the 24th-highest weekly point total in league history.
Greasy Weasels were helped out by a 36.30 point effort from Ja’Marr Chase, who tore apart the Baltimore Ravens defense for 193 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Chase was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 5. They also got help from a 24.40 point effort from Geno Smith, who got by the New York Giants defense for 284 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 72 rushing yards.
“This team has finally learned how to win,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
The Undergarments were helped out by a 25.40 point effort from Tank Bigsby, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 101 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 28 receiving yards. With this performance, Bigsby was the number 1 ranked running back for week 5. They also got help from a 17.00 point effort from Younghoe Koo, who beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 3 field goals made and 3 extra points.
“They outplayed us in every phase of the game,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
The Undergarments drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 12 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 5.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 2-3, and drops The Undergarments to a record of 4-1.
Coming up in week 6, Greasy Weasels are at the 4-1 The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 8.7-point favorite, while the 3-2 October Hunters are at The Undergarments, where The Undergarments are an early 16.6-point underdog.
