“This is a dream come true,” Z-Squad coach Joshua Brecht said.
Elvis Impersonators were helped out by a 24.55 point effort from Joe Flacco, who got by the New York Jets defense for 223 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 14 rushing yards. With this performance, Flacco was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 8. They also got help from a 11.10 point effort from CeeDee Lamb, who snuck past the Denver Broncos defense for 74 receiving yards in addition to 2 rushing yards.
“My hat’s off to them,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
Causing further embarrassment, Elvis Impersonators could have scored 98.60 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Brandon Mannie left key players like Jordan Love and his corresponding 28.00 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Z-Squad to 6-2, and drops Elvis Impersonators to a record of 6-2.
Coming up in week 9, Elvis Impersonators are at the 4-4 The Lawn Wranglers, where The Lawn Wranglers are an early 5.6-point underdog, while the 5-3 The Hellfish are at Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 61.4-point favorite.
