“This team has overcome a lot of adversity,” The Lawn Wranglers coach Todd Kammeijer said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 22.65 point effort from Baker Mayfield, who got by the New England Patriots defense for 273 passing yards and 3 passing TDs. They also got help from a 19.00 point effort from Breece Hall, who got by the Cleveland Browns defense for 83 rushing yards in addition to 42 receiving yards.
“They out-hustled us,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Causing further embarrassment, The Hellfish could have scored 104.65 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Zach Charbonnet and his corresponding 14.30 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Lawn Wranglers to 6-4, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 5-5.
Coming up in week 11, The Lawn Wranglers are at the 6-4 Pickled Harrons, where Pickled Harrons are an early 1.3-point underdog, while The Hellfish are at the 6-4 Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 4.8-point favorite.
