“They gave us a big scare,” Pickled Harrons coach Cooper Harron said.
Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were helped out in a losing cause by a 19.00 point effort from Jason Myers, who beat the Minnesota Vikings defense for 4 field goals made and 2 extra points. With this performance, Myers was the number 2 ranked place kicker for week 13. They also got help from a 15.80 point effort from Alec Pierce, who got by the Houston Texans defense for 78 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“Not to take away anything from our opponents, but we didn’t play like we’re capable of playing,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeff Griffith said.
Adding salt to the wound, Hot Buttered Moose Nuts could have scored 92.90 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jeff Griffith left key players like Bryce Young and his corresponding 21.60 points on the bench.
Pickled Harrons took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 12 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 13.
This brings the record for Pickled Harrons to 9-4, and drops Hot Buttered Moose Nuts to a record of 4-9.
Coming up in week 14, Pickled Harrons are at the 8-5 Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 6.4-point underdog, while Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are at the 6-7 Squishy Fuzz, where Squishy Fuzz are an early 32.2-point favorite.
