The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 14 point victory by a 32 point effort from Anquan Boldin, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 140 receiving yards and 3 receiving tds. With this performance, Boldin was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 2. They also got help from a 27 point effort from Brian Westbrook, who snuck past the Dallas Cowboys defense for 58 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 45 receiving yards.
“This team shows a lot of heart,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
Elvis Impersonators were helped out in a losing cause by a 15 point effort from Larry Fitzgerald, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 153 receiving yards. They also got help from a 13 point effort from the New York Giants Defensive Team.
“They’ve had our number all season,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
Adding salt to the wound, Elvis Impersonators could have scored 94 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Brandon Mannie left key players like Kurt Warner and his corresponding 27 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 1-0-1, and drops Elvis Impersonators to a record of 0-2.
