San Quentin Saints were led to their 4 point victory by a 20 point effort from Joseph Addai, who got by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 78 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 10 receiving yards. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who snuck past the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 196 passing yards and 1 passing td.
“This team shows a lot of resiliency,” San Quentin Saints coach Sean Boggess said.
Grid Iron Bullies were helped out in a losing cause by a 20 point effort from Julius Jones, who beat the St. Louis Rams defense for 140 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 4 receiving yards. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Peyton Manning, who got by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 216 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 12 rushing yards.
“We only have to look in the mirror,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Adding salt to the wound, Grid Iron Bullies could have scored 71 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Eric Bell left key players like JaMarcus Russell and his corresponding 16 points on the bench.
This brings the record for San Quentin Saints to 3-0-1, and drops Grid Iron Bullies to a record of 1-3.
