Elvis Impersonators were led to their 36 point victory by a 28 point effort from Michael Turner, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 104 rushing yards and 3 rushing tds. With this performance, Turner was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 3. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Larry Johnson, who beat the Atlanta Falcons defense for 121 rushing yards and 1 rushing td.
“This is the greatest feeling in the world,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
The Slim Shaggys were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Maurice Jones-Drew, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 107 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 59 receiving yards. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Clinton Portis, who snuck past the Arizona Cardinals defense for 68 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 19 receiving yards.
“We shot ourselves in the foot,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
This brings the record for Elvis Impersonators to 2-2, and drops The Slim Shaggys to a record of 0-3-1.
Coming up in week 4, Elvis Impersonators are at the 1-3 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 30.2-point underdog, while the 4-0 Squishy Fuzz are at The Slim Shaggys, where The Slim Shaggys are an early 38.8-point underdog.
