Twee Twerps were led to their 23 point victory by a 26 point effort from Reggie Bush, who snuck past the Denver Broncos defense for 73 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 75 receiving yards. With this performance, Bush was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 3. They also got help from a 20 point effort from T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who beat the New York Giants defense for 146 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.
“We knew what we had to do and went out and did it,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Brandon Marshall, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 155 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. With this performance, Marshall was the number 1 ranked wide receiver for week 3. They also got help from a 21 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the New York Jets defense for 250 passing yards and 3 passing tds.
“They stepped up and made the plays,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Compounding the issue, Greasy Weasels could have scored 110 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Mason Mannie left key players like Le’Ron McClain and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Twee Twerps to 4-0, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 1-3.
