The Hellfish were led to their 3 point victory by a 20 point effort from Jake Delhomme, who got by the Atlanta Falcons defense for 294 passing yards and 2 passing tds. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Terrell Owens, who snuck past the Washington Redskins defense for 71 receiving yards and 1 receiving td in addition to 11 rushing yards.
“We played our hearts out,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
The Wondrful Gazonks were helped out in a losing cause by a 17 point effort from Anquan Boldin, who beat the New York Jets defense for 119 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Antonio Gates, who snuck past the Oakland Raiders defense for 58 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.
“We don’t care about moral victories,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
This brings the record for The Hellfish to 2-3, and drops The Wondrful Gazonks to a record of 2-2-1.
