Elvis Impersonators were led to their 20 point victory by a 17 point effort from Kurt Warner, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 236 passing yards and 2 passing tds. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Ronnie Brown, who snuck past the Houston Texans defense for 50 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 43 receiving yards.
“Our fans were the 12th man today,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Matt Forte, who got by the Atlanta Falcons defense for 76 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 34 receiving yards. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Jake Delhomme, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 242 passing yards.
“They out-hustled us,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
This brings the record for Elvis Impersonators to 5-2, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 2-5.
