Greasy Weasels were led to their 5 point victory by a 12 point effort from Greg Jennings, who snuck past the Chicago Bears defense for 64 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. They also got help from a 8 point effort from Chris Johnson, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 64 rushing yards in addition to 24 receiving yards.
“It wasn’t pretty but we’ll take it,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 13 point effort from Stephen Gostkowski, who snuck past the New York Jets defense for 3 field goals made and 2 extra points. With this performance, Gostkowski was the number 6 ranked place kicker for week 11. They also got help from a 10 point effort from Matt Forte, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 64 rushing yards in addition to 40 receiving yards.
“Give them all the credit,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Causing further embarrassment, The Hellfish could have scored 87 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Matt Cassel and his corresponding 36 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 6-7, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 3-10.
