Greasy Weasels were led to their 16 point victory by a 21 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 288 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 15 rushing yards. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Warrick Dunn, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 90 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 37 receiving yards.
“This MVP award belongs to the whole team,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
The Slim Shaggys were helped out in a losing cause by a 22 point effort from Ben Roethlisberger, who got by the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 243 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 13 rushing yards. They also got help from a 19 point effort from DeAngelo Williams, who beat the Atlanta Falcons defense for 101 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 19 receiving yards.
“We beat ourselves,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 8-7, and drops The Slim Shaggys to a record of 7-5-3.
Coming up in week 13, Greasy Weasels are at the 11-4 Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 5.5-point favorite, while The Slim Shaggys are at the 5-10 Grid Iron Bullies, where Grid Iron Bullies are an early 15.7-point underdog.
