The Slim Shaggys were led to their 39 point victory by a 32 point effort from DeAngelo Williams, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 72 rushing yards and 4 rushing tds in addition to 14 receiving yards. With this performance, Williams was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 13. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Ben Roethlisberger, who snuck past the New England Patriots defense for 179 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 6 rushing yards.
“It feels great to be world champions,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
Grid Iron Bullies were helped out in a losing cause by a 14 point effort from Kris Brown, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 3 field goals made and 3 extra points. With this performance, Brown was the number 5 ranked place kicker for week 13. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Kevin Faulk, who snuck past the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 73 rushing yards in addition to 48 receiving yards.
“These guys have nothing to be ashamed of,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Causing further embarrassment, Grid Iron Bullies could have scored 90 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Eric Bell left key players like Peyton Hillis and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 8-5-3, and drops Grid Iron Bullies to a record of 5-11.
Coming up in week 14, The Slim Shaggys are at the 10-5-1 Twee Twerps, where Twee Twerps are an early 1.9-point favorite.
