The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 4 point victory by a 22 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who got by the New York Giants defense for 240 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 14 rushing yards. With this performance, McNabb was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 8. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Percy Harvin, who got by the Green Bay Packers defense for 84 receiving yards and 1 receiving td in addition to 2 rushing yards.
“This team has finally learned how to win,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
Twee Twerps were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Steven Jackson, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 149 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 17 receiving yards. With this performance, Jackson was the number 5 ranked running back for week 8. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Steve Smith, who snuck past the Arizona Cardinals defense for 56 receiving yards and 1 receiving td in addition to 17 rushing yards.
“It’s going to be a long plane ride home,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
Adding salt to the wound, Twee Twerps could have scored 81 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Bob Filipy left key players like Jonathan Stewart and his corresponding 20 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 5-4, and drops Twee Twerps to a record of 2-7.
