The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 6 point victory by a 14 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who got by the Dallas Cowboys defense for 227 passing yards and 1 passing td. They also got help from a 13 point effort from John Carney, who snuck past the Carolina Panthers defense for 3 field goals made and 3 extra points.
“We proved we’re the better team,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 20 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the New York Giants defense for 209 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 15 rushing yards. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Hines Ward, who snuck past the Denver Broncos defense for 44 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds.
“They wanted it more than we did,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Causing further embarrassment, The Hellfish could have scored 89 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like the Tennessee Titans Defensive Team and his corresponding 14 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 6-4, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 4-6.
Coming up in week 10, The Hellfish are at the 4-6 The Slim Shaggys, where The Slim Shaggys are an early 16-point favorite, while The Wondrful Gazonks are at the 3-7 Squishy Fuzz, where Squishy Fuzz are an early 21.1-point underdog.
