San Quentin Saints were led to their 30 point victory by a 29 point effort from DeSean Jackson, who tore apart the New York Giants defense for 178 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Jackson was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 14. They also got help from a 27 point effort from Ray Rice, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 166 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 53 receiving yards.
“A win is a win,” San Quentin Saints coach Sean Boggess said.
Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 25 point effort from Adrian Peterson, who got by the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 97 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 40 receiving yards. With this performance, Peterson was the number 4 ranked running back for week 14. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Derrick Mason, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 94 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“We shot ourselves in the foot,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Vinny’s Gang drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 14.
This brings the record for San Quentin Saints to 10-6, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 9-7.
