San Quentin Saints were led to their 2 point victory by a 19 point effort from Calvin Johnson, who beat the Chicago Bears defense for 130 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Johnson was the number 6 ranked wide receiver for week 5. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Andy Dalton, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 179 passing yards and 2 passing TDs.
“We’re glad to get out of here with the ‘W’,” San Quentin Saints coach Sean Boggess said.
Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Dwayne Bowe, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 128 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Bowe was the number 1 ranked wide receiver for week 5. They also got help from a 12 point effort from the San Francisco 49ers Defensive Team.
“We only have to look in the mirror,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Causing further embarrassment, Greasy Weasels could have scored 98 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mason Mannie left key players like Victor Cruz and his corresponding 22 points on the bench.
This brings the record for San Quentin Saints to 5-1, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 2-4.
