Bad Attitudes were led to their less than 1 point victory by a 21 point effort from Kevin Kolb, who got by the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 272 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 14 rushing yards. They also got help from a 14.9 point effort from Steve Smith, who beat the Washington Redskins defense for 143 receiving yards in addition to 6 rushing yards.
“This team has overcome a lot of adversity,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.
The Undergarments were helped out in a losing cause by a 26.55 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who beat the Minnesota Vikings defense for 335 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 8 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 7. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Fred Davis, who got by the Carolina Panthers defense for 80 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“They caught us on an off night,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Causing further embarrassment, The Undergarments could have scored 93 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Overgaard left key players like Marion Barber and his corresponding 9 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Bad Attitudes to 6-2, and drops The Undergarments to a record of 3-5.
Coming up in week 8, the 0-8 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are at Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 29.8-point favorite, while The Undergarments are at the 7-1 San Quentin Saints, where San Quentin Saints are an early 16.1-point favorite.
