San Quentin Saints were led to their 5 point victory by a 17 point effort from Tony Romo, who got by the Miami Dolphins defense for 226 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 12 point effort from DeMarco Murray, who got by the Miami Dolphins defense for 87 rushing yards in addition to 41 receiving yards.
“A win is a win,” San Quentin Saints coach Sean Boggess said.
Elvis Impersonators were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Tim Tebow, who snuck past the San Diego Chargers defense for 143 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 67 rushing yards. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Arian Foster, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 65 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 24 receiving yards.
“They out-hustled us,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
Causing further embarrassment, Elvis Impersonators could have scored 81 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Brandon Mannie left key players like Matt Moore and his corresponding 17 points on the bench.
This brings the record for San Quentin Saints to 13-2, and drops Elvis Impersonators to a record of 8-7.
