Greasy Weasels were led to their 1 point victory by a 21 point effort from Willis McGahee, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 122 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 33 receiving yards. With this performance, McGahee was the number 2 ranked running back for week 8. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Jimmy Graham, who snuck past the Denver Broncos defense for 63 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“This win was no fluke,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
The Undergarments were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Marshawn Lynch, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 105 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 1 receiving yards. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 186 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 4 rushing yards.
“We beat ourselves,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Compounding the issue, The Undergarments could have scored 70 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Overgaard left key players like Sidney Rice and his corresponding 11 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 5-3, and drops The Undergarments to a record of 5-3.
