Twee Twerps were led to their 4 point victory by a 17 point effort from Brandon Myers, who snuck past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 59 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Myers was the number 1 ranked tight end for week 9. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Robert Griffin III, who got by the Carolina Panthers defense for 215 passing yards in addition to 53 rushing yards.
“We weren’t going to just lie down,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
Bad Attitudes were helped out in a losing cause by a 25 point effort from Mikel Leshoure, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 70 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs. With this performance, Leshoure was the number 3 ranked running back for week 9. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Drew Brees, who got by the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 239 passing yards and 2 passing TDs.
“We got a wake-up call,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.
Adding salt to the wound, Bad Attitudes could have scored 94 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Steve Spickenreuther left key players like Kevin Ogletree and his corresponding 15 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Twee Twerps to 5-4, and drops Bad Attitudes to a record of 6-3.
Coming up in week 10, Twee Twerps are at the 4-5 Grid Iron Bullies, where Grid Iron Bullies are an early 1.1-point underdog, while the 4-5 Elvis Impersonators are at Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 12.8-point favorite.
