Elvis Impersonators were led to their 1 point victory by a 21 point effort from Dez Bryant, who got by the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 98 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Bryant was the number 3 ranked wide receiver for week 13. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Matt Forte, who snuck past the Seattle Seahawks defense for 66 rushing yards in addition to 30 receiving yards.
“This was a confidence booster,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
Z-Squad were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Brandon Marshall, who beat the Seattle Seahawks defense for 165 receiving yards. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Ray Rice, who got by the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 78 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 5 receiving yards.
“We don’t care about moral victories,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Causing further embarrassment, Z-Squad could have scored 83 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Michael Grosz left key players like Kendall Wright and his corresponding 7 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Elvis Impersonators to 7-6, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 8-5.
Coming up in week 14, Elvis Impersonators are at the 8-5 Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 7.2-point favorite, while the 7-6 Elvis Impersonators are at Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 7.2-point favorite.
