Z-Squad were led to their 2 point victory by a 30 point effort from Vernon Davis, who tore apart the Arizona Cardinals defense for 180 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Davis was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 6. They also got help from a 8 point effort from Alex Smith, who snuck past the Oakland Raiders defense for 128 passing yards in addition to 29 rushing yards.
“This team shows a lot of pride,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were helped out in a losing cause by a 20 point effort from Peyton Manning, who got by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 295 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Kyle Rudolph, who got by the Carolina Panthers defense for 97 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“This is a bitter pill to swallow,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeremy Griffith said.
Causing further embarrassment, Hot Buttered Moose Nuts could have scored 78 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jeremy Griffith left key players like Joe Flacco and his corresponding 23 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Z-Squad to 2-4, and drops Hot Buttered Moose Nuts to a record of 3-3.
