Bad Attitudes were led to their 1 point victory by a 12 point effort from Brandon Weeden, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 149 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 20 rushing yards. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Rob Gronkowski, who beat the New York Jets defense for 114 receiving yards.
“This team shows a lot of poise,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from A.J. Green, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 155 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Green was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 7. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Tom Brady, who got by the New York Jets defense for 228 passing yards.
“We didn’t get the big breaks today,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Causing further embarrassment, The Hellfish could have scored 75 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Sidney Rice and his corresponding 11 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Bad Attitudes to 4-3, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 2-5.
