The Slim Shaggys were led to their 2 point victory by a 20 point effort from Chris Johnson, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 86 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs. With this performance, Johnson was the number 6 ranked running back for week 11. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the Miami Dolphins defense for 298 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 6 rushing yards.
“This team has overcome a lot of adversity,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
October Hunter were helped out in a losing cause by a 29 point effort from Calvin Johnson, who tore apart the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 179 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Johnson was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 11. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Andy Dalton, who snuck past the Cleveland Browns defense for 93 passing yards and 3 passing TDs.
“We got a wake-up call,” October Hunter coach Orion Bell said.
Compounding the issue, October Hunter could have scored 92 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Orion Bell left key players like Chad Henne and his corresponding 15 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 2-9, and drops October Hunter to a record of 5-6.
