Greasy Weasels were led to their 1 point victory by a 18 point effort from Nick Foles, who got by the New York Giants defense for 248 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 5 rushing yards. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Julius Thomas, who snuck past the New York Jets defense for 51 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.
“We were really on our game,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Twee Twerps were helped out in a losing cause by a 23 point effort from Jay Cutler, who tore apart the Atlanta Falcons defense for 381 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 11 rushing yards. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Antonio Brown, who beat the Cleveland Browns defense for 118 receiving yards.
“We got a wake-up call,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.
Adding salt to the wound, Twee Twerps could have scored 94 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Bob Filipy left key players like Antone Smith and his corresponding 12 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 6-0, and drops Twee Twerps to a record of 4-2.
