Vinny’s Gang were led to their 7 point victory by a 12 point effort from Alfred Morris, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 96 rushing yards in addition to 36 receiving yards. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Larry Donnell, who snuck past the San Francisco 49ers defense for 54 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“We came to play,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Z-Squad were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Matt Ryan, who got by the Carolina Panthers defense for 268 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 4 rushing yards. They also got help from a 9 point effort from Mark Ingram, who snuck past the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 67 rushing yards in addition to 30 receiving yards.
“We didn’t get the job done,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Adding salt to the wound, Z-Squad could have scored 82 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Michael Grosz left key players like the Green Bay Packers Defensive Team and his corresponding 25 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Vinny’s Gang to 5-6, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 2-9.
Coming up in week 12, Z-Squad are at the 10-1 Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 41.7-point favorite, while the 2-9 October Hunter are at Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 11.5-point favorite.
