The Undergarments were led to their 4 point victory by a 25 point effort from Matt Ryan, who tore apart the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 397 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 2 rushing yards. They also got help from a 15 point effort from DeAndre Hopkins, who got by the Tennessee Titans defense for 94 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“This team shows a lot of poise,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Greasy Weasels were helped out in a losing cause by a 29 point effort from Tom Brady, who tore apart the Miami Dolphins defense for 356 passing yards and 4 passing TDs in addition to 1 rushing yards. With this performance, Brady was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Rob Gronkowski, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 113 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“We can still hold our heads high,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Causing further embarrassment, Greasy Weasels could have scored 116 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mason Mannie left key players like Eli Manning and his corresponding 35 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Undergarments to 8-0, and drops Greasy Weasels to a record of 5-3.
Coming up in week 9, the 2-6 Hot Buttered Moose Nuts are at Greasy Weasels, where Greasy Weasels are an early 43.6-point favorite, while The Undergarments are at the 5-3 Vinny’s Gang, where Vinny’s Gang are an early 7.9-point underdog.
