Greasy Weasels were led to their 6 point victory by a 16 point effort from Tom Brady, who got by the Buffalo Bills defense for 277 passing yards and 1 passing TD. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Mike Evans, who snuck past the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 63 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“We’re glad to get out of here with the ‘W’,” Greasy Weasels coach Mason Mannie said.
Grid Iron Bullies were helped out in a losing cause by a 17 point effort from Joe Flacco, who got by the St. Louis Rams defense for 299 passing yards and 1 passing TD. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Darren McFadden, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 129 rushing yards in addition to 20 receiving yards.
“It just wasn’t meant to be,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Adding salt to the wound, Grid Iron Bullies could have scored 83 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Bell left key players like Terrance Williams and his corresponding 13 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Greasy Weasels to 8-3, and drops Grid Iron Bullies to a record of 3-8.
Coming up in week 12, the 6-5 Elvis Impersonators are at Greasy Weasels, where Greasy Weasels are an early 18.7-point favorite, while Grid Iron Bullies are at the 2-9 Squishy Fuzz, where Squishy Fuzz are an early 10.7-point underdog.
