Vinny’s Gang were led to their 12 point victory by a 21 point effort from Allen Robinson, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 151 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Robinson was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 21 point effort from Jameis Winston, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 295 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 10 rushing yards.
“We snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
The Undergarments were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Jordan Reed, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 129 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Reed was the number 1 ranked tight end for week 16. They also got help from a 17 point effort from DeAndre Hopkins, who beat the Tennessee Titans defense for 117 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“They outplayed us in every phase of the game,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Undergarments could have scored 116 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Overgaard left key players like Matt Ryan and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.
