Grid Iron Bullies were led to their 0.7 point victory by a 23.9 point effort from DeMarco Murray, who got by the Houston Texans defense for 95 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 24 receiving yards. With this performance, Murray was the number 1 ranked running back for week 4. They also got help from a 18.55 point effort from Dak Prescott, who got by the San Francisco 49ers defense for 245 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 3 rushing yards.
“We were really on our game,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Elvis Impersonators were helped out in a losing cause by a 36 point effort from Julio Jones, who tore apart the Carolina Panthers defense for 300 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Jones was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 4. They also got help from a 16.35 point effort from Drew Brees, who got by the San Diego Chargers defense for 207 passing yards and 2 passing TDs.
“He always has his team ready to play,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
Compounding the issue, Elvis Impersonators could have scored 119 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Brandon Mannie left key players like Steve Smith and his corresponding 17 points on the bench.
Elvis Impersonators drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 4.
This brings the record for Grid Iron Bullies to 3-1, and drops Elvis Impersonators to a record of 3-1.
Coming up in week 5, the 2-2 October Hunters are at Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 29.8-point favorite, while Grid Iron Bullies are at the 1-3 Bad Attitudes, where Bad Attitudes are an early 25.0-point underdog.
