The Slim Shaggys were led to their 11 point victory by a 19 point effort from Coby Fleener, who snuck past the Carolina Panthers defense for 74 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 2 rushing yards. With this performance, Fleener was the number 2 ranked tight end for week 6. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Russell Wilson, who got by the Atlanta Falcons defense for 270 passing yards in addition to 7 rushing yards.
“It feels great to be world champions,” The Slim Shaggys coach Mark Olson said.
The Undergarments were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Blake Bortles, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 271 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 1 rushing yards. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Ezekiel Elliott, who beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 157 rushing yards in addition to 17 receiving yards.
“They own us,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Undergarments could have scored 84 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Overgaard left key players like Terrance West and his corresponding 23 points on the bench.
This brings the record for The Slim Shaggys to 2-4, and drops The Undergarments to a record of 3-3.
