Squishy Fuzz were led to their 0.3 point victory by a 28.35 point effort from Andrew Luck, who tore apart the Tennessee Titans defense for 353 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 17 rushing yards. With this performance, Luck was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 7. They also got help from a 17.6 point effort from Randall Cobb, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 95 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 21 rushing yards.
“We played our hearts out,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.
Grid Iron Bullies were helped out in a losing cause by a 18.7 point effort from DeMarco Murray, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 107 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 20 receiving yards. With this performance, Murray was the number 6 ranked running back for week 7. They also got help from a 14.4 point effort from Frank Gore, who snuck past the Tennessee Titans defense for 61 rushing yards in addition to 22 receiving yards.
“Not to take away anything from our opponents, but we didn’t play like we’re capable of playing,” Grid Iron Bullies coach Eric Bell said.
Adding salt to the wound, Grid Iron Bullies could have scored 82 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Bell left key players like Latavius Murray and his corresponding 17 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Squishy Fuzz to 6-1, and drops Grid Iron Bullies to a record of 3-4.
