(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Sep 12, 2022) In a week 1 UFFLE intra-divisional event, the Z-Squad squeaked by a hapless Bad Attitudes team by a score of 88.55 to 84.50, silencing a partisan crowd of 75,851.
Z-Squad were led to their 4.05 point victory by a 20.90 point effort from Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who snuck past the Arizona Cardinals defense for 42 rushing yards in addition to 32 receiving yards. With this performance, Edwards-Helaire was the number 6 ranked running back for week 1. They also got help from a 19.55 point effort from Kyler Murray, who snuck past the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 193 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 29 rushing yards.
“We really took it to ’em,” Z-Squad coach Joshua Grosz said.
Bad Attitudes were helped out in a losing cause by a 21.80 point effort from Matt Ryan, who tore apart the Houston Texans defense for 352 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 12 rushing yards. They also got help from a 15.70 point effort from Jaylen Waddle, who snuck past the New England Patriots defense for 69 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 8 rushing yards.
“We lost our focus,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.
Compounding the issue, Bad Attitudes could have scored 92.50 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Steve Spickenreuther left key players like Christian Kirk and his corresponding 14.70 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Z-Squad to 1-0, and drops Bad Attitudes to a record of 0-1.
Coming up in week 2, Bad Attitudes are at the 1-0 Grid Iron Bullies, where Grid Iron Bullies are an early 9.3-point favorite, while Z-Squad are at the 1-0 The Hellfish, where The Hellfish are an early 19.2-point underdog.
