(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Oct 10, 2022) In a week 5 UFFLE event, the 3-2 Pickled Harrons squeaked by a tough 3-2 Vinny’s Gang team by a score of 85.15 to 84.05, silencing a partisan crowd of 71,995.
Pickled Harrons were led to their 1.10 point victory by a 20.45 point effort from Joe Burrow, who got by the Baltimore Ravens defense for 217 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 6 rushing yards. They also got help from a 17.30 point effort from DK Metcalf, who got by the New Orleans Saints defense for 88 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“I’m in a state of shock,” Pickled Harrons coach Cooper Harron said.
Vinny’s Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 19.90 point effort from Christian McCaffrey, who snuck past the San Francisco 49ers defense for 54 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 50 receiving yards. They also got help from a 18.50 point effort from Rhamondre Stevenson, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 161 rushing yards in addition to 14 receiving yards.
“We didn’t match their intensity,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
Compounding the issue, Vinny’s Gang could have scored 99.25 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jon Steffan left key players like Jakobi Meyers and his corresponding 20.60 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Pickled Harrons to 3-2, and drops Vinny’s Gang to a record of 3-2.
Coming up in week 6, Vinny’s Gang are at the 2-3 Grid Iron Bullies, where Grid Iron Bullies are an early 3.4-point favorite, while the 0-5 Elvis Impersonators are at Pickled Harrons, where Pickled Harrons are an early 10.4-point favorite.
