“This team shows a lot of heart,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
October Hunters were helped out in a losing cause by a 21.90 point effort from Jared Goff, who got by the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 258 passing yards and 3 passing TDs. They also got help from a 14.90 point effort from J.K. Dobbins, who got by the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 79 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 5 receiving yards.
“They out-coached us,” October Hunters coach Orion Bell said.
Compounding the issue, October Hunters could have scored 82.00 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Orion Bell left key players like Cam Little and his corresponding 9.00 points on the bench.
Elvis Impersonators took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 5.
This brings the record for Elvis Impersonators to 4-1, and drops October Hunters to a record of 3-2.
Coming up in week 6, Elvis Impersonators are at the 0-5 Squishy Fuzz, where Squishy Fuzz are an early 10.6-point favorite, while the 3-2 Z-Squad are at October Hunters, where October Hunters are an early 1.2-point underdog.
