“We proved we’re the better team,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 24.30 point effort from Chris Olave, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 98 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Olave was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 7. They also got help from a 18.50 point effort from Zach Charbonnet, who snuck past the Houston Texans defense for 49 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 6 receiving yards.
“Turnovers killed us,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.
Compounding the issue, The Hellfish could have scored 111.90 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Noah Fant and his corresponding 12.40 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Vinny’s Gang to 4-3, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 4-3.
Coming up in week 8, Vinny’s Gang are at the 1-6 Squishy Fuzz, where Squishy Fuzz are an early 51.0-point underdog, while The Hellfish are at the 4-3 The Lawn Wranglers, where The Lawn Wranglers are an early 20.0-point underdog.
