Elvis Impersonators were helped out by a 21.55 point effort from Trey Lance, who got by the Houston Texans defense for 249 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 31 rushing yards. They also got help from a 21.30 point effort from AJ Dillon, who snuck past the Minnesota Vikings defense for 63 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 20 receiving yards.
“We weren’t going to just roll over,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.
The Lawn Wranglers were helped out by a 18.05 point effort from Justin Herbert, who got by the Denver Broncos defense for 237 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 2 rushing yards. They also got help from a 17.20 point effort from Damien Harris, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 35 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 12 receiving yards.
“We had our chances but we let them slip away,” The Lawn Wranglers coach Todd Kammeijer said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Lawn Wranglers could have scored 113.25 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Todd Kammeijer left key players like Braxton Berrios and his corresponding 23.70 points on the bench.
