San Quentin Saints (80) at The Hellfish (69)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Dec 1, 2008) In a week 13 UFFLE matchup, San Quentin Saints beat a strong The Hellfish team by a score of 80 to 69, silencing a partisan crowd of 68,273.

San Quentin Saints were led to their 11 point victory by a 27 point effort from Thomas Jones, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 138 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 21 receiving yards. With this performance, Jones was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 13. They also got help from a 27 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 260 passing yards and 4 passing tds in addition to 24 rushing yards.

“We’re going to use this win as a building block,” San Quentin Saints coach Sean Boggess said.

The Hellfish were helped out in a losing cause by a 17 point effort from Matt Forte, who got by the Minnesota Vikings defense for 96 rushing yards in addition to 29 receiving yards. They also got help from a 14 point effort from Jake Delhomme, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 177 passing yards.

“They outplayed us in every phase of the game,” The Hellfish coach Wade Iverson said.

Compounding the issue, The Hellfish could have scored 92 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Wade Iverson left key players like Terrell Owens and his corresponding 15 points on the bench.

This brings the record for San Quentin Saints to 11-3-2, and drops The Hellfish to a record of 5-11.

Z-Squad (52) at The Wondrful Gazonks (86)

The Wondrful Gazonks were led to their 34 point victory by a 37 point effort from Brian Westbrook, who beat the Arizona Cardinals defense for 110 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 20 receiving yards. With this performance, Westbrook was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 13. They also got help from a 12 point effort from Tyler Thigpen, who snuck past the Oakland Raiders defense for 162 passing yards in addition to 48 rushing yards.

“This team shows a lot of character,” The Wondrful Gazonks coach Josh Vadnais said.

Z-Squad were helped out in a losing cause by a 18 point effort from David Garrard, who got by the Houston Texans defense for 287 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 10 rushing yards. They also got help from a 8 point effort from Frank Gore, who snuck past the Buffalo Bills defense for 66 rushing yards in addition to 23 receiving yards.

“Not to take away anything from our opponents, but we didn’t play like we’re capable of playing,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.

This brings the record for The Wondrful Gazonks to 8-7-1, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 9-5-2.

Coming up in week 14, Z-Squad are at the 11-3-2 San Quentin Saints, where San Quentin Saints are an early 7.1-point favorite.

Hot Buttered Moose Nuts (62) at Bad Attitudes (66)

Bad Attitudes were led to their 4 point victory by a 19 point effort from Gus Frerotte, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 210 passing yards and 1 passing td in addition to 1 rushing yards. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Bernard Berrian, who beat the Chicago Bears defense for 122 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.

“We weren’t going to just lie down,” Bad Attitudes coach Steve Spickenreuther said.

Hot Buttered Moose Nuts were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Joe Flacco, who got by the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 280 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 15 rushing yards. With this performance, Flacco was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 13. They also got help from a 14 point effort from David Akers, who snuck past the Arizona Cardinals defense for 2 field goals made and 6 extra points.

“We didn’t get the big breaks today,” Hot Buttered Moose Nuts coach Jeremy Griffith said.

Compounding the issue, Hot Buttered Moose Nuts could have scored 85 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Jeremy Griffith left key players like Rob Bironas and his corresponding 21 points on the bench.

Bad Attitudes took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 13.

This brings the record for Bad Attitudes to 3-13, and drops Hot Buttered Moose Nuts to a record of 1-14-1.

Squishy Fuzz (76) at The Undergarments (86)

With this performance, Brees was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 13. They also got help from a 13 point effort from Marshawn Lynch, who beat the San Francisco 49ers defense for 134 rushing yards in addition to 1 receiving yards.

“They out-coached us,” Squishy Fuzz coach Scott Stanina said.

This brings the record for The Undergarments to 9-7, and drops Squishy Fuzz to a record of 12-3-1.
