(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Dec 11, 2023) In a week 14 UFFLE intra-divisional battle, the 9-5 Z-Squad squeaked by a tough 9-5 Pickled Harrons team by a score of 93.70 to 93.05, behind the support of 61,627 faithful fans at Frozen Tundra.
Z-Squad were led to their 0.65 point victory by a 24.10 point effort from David Njoku, who got by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 91 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Njoku was the number 2 ranked tight end for week 14. They also got help from a 17.60 point effort from Derrick Henry, who snuck past the Miami Dolphins defense for 34 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 17 receiving yards.
“This team shows a lot of pride,” Z-Squad coach Joshua Grosz said.
Pickled Harrons were helped out in a losing cause by a 26.45 point effort from Jake Browning, who got by the Indianapolis Colts defense for 275 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 7 rushing yards. With this performance, Browning was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 14. They also got help from a 13.10 point effort from Alvin Kamara, who snuck past the Carolina Panthers defense for 56 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD.
“They outplayed us in every phase of the game,” Pickled Harrons coach Cooper Harron said.
Compounding the issue, Pickled Harrons could have scored 114.65 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Cooper Harron left key players like Ezekiel Elliott and his corresponding 23.50 points on the bench.
Pickled Harrons drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 14.
This brings the record for Z-Squad to 9-5, and drops Pickled Harrons to a record of 9-5.
Coming up in week 15, the 9-5 Pickled Harrons are at Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 11.0-point underdog, while Pickled Harrons are at the 9-5 Z-Squad, where Z-Squad are an early 11.0-point underdog.
