Vinny’s Gang wins Fantasy Bowl XXII
Congratulations to Vinny’s Gang for winning Fantasy Bowl XXII. Vinny’s Gang won their fourth Winkenbach Trophy. They are the first team to win four, and are now 4-2 in Fantasy Bowl games. The Undergarments fall to 3-3 in Fantasy Bowl games. This was actually the third meeting of these two teams in the Fantasy Bowl. The Undergarments won the 2012 matchup while Vinny’s Gang won the 2006 matchup.

“We snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat,” Vinny’s Gang coach Jon Steffan said.
The Undergarments were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Jordan Reed, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 129 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Reed was the number 1 ranked tight end for week 16. They also got help from a 17 point effort from DeAndre Hopkins, who beat the Tennessee Titans defense for 117 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
“They outplayed us in every phase of the game,” The Undergarments coach Eric Overgaard said.
Adding salt to the wound, The Undergarments could have scored 116 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eric Overgaard left key players like Matt Ryan and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.

“This was a good win for us,” October Hunters coach Orion Bell said.

They also got help from a 13 point effort from Adrian Peterson, who snuck past the Arizona Cardinals defense for 69 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 17 receiving yards.
“Our defense didn’t show up today,” Z-Squad coach Michael Grosz said.
Compounding the issue, Z-Squad could have scored 90 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Michael Grosz left key players like Golden Tate and his corresponding 19 points on the bench.
This brings the record for October Hunters to 9-4, and drops Z-Squad to a record of 8-5.
