Keeper Deadline Coming Soon

Just a reminder that keepers are due by the end of the day on Saturday, August 1st. I will be on vacation that weekend, so I am not sure if I will able to announce the keepers as they come in, but will try my best.

This year there are three free agents that can’t be kept by their current team. They are:

Larry Johnson – Elvis Impersonators
Ladainian Tomlinson – The Undergarments
Marion Barber – Squishy Fuzz

There are also two players that must be kept because of trade. They are:

Ronnie Brown – Vinng’s Gang – 3rd Round Pick
Kurt Warner – Bad Attitudes – 8th Round Pick

Draft Date

Nobody seems to have a problem with August 16th for a draft date, so I am going to make it official. The Draft with be on August 16th at 10:00 AM CDT.

Elvis Impersonators Win Fantasy Bowl XV

7393.jpg Congratulations to the Elvis Impersonators, and Fantasy Bowl MVP Larry Fitzgerald for winning Fantasy Bowl XV. It was the second Fantasy Bowl win for the Elvis Impersonators in three tries.

It was a disappointing ending to the best season the Squishy Fuzz have ever had. They finished the season with the best record in the league, but just fell short in Fantasy Bowl XV. The Squishy Fuzz are now 0-2 in Fantasy Bowl games.

MVP Tie

We had a three way tie for MVP, so I am opening up another poll to try to break the tie. Co-MVPs would be fine, but three? If there is still a tie after this poll, then we will just have three MVPs. I am really getting annoyed by ties this season.

Elvis Impersonators (74) at Twee Twerps (68)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources – Dec 15, 2008) In a week 15 UFFLE showdown, Elvis Impersonators squeaked by a tough Twee Twerps team by a score of 74 to 68, silencing a partisan crowd of 71,597.

Elvis Impersonators were led to their 6 point victory by a 24 point effort from Michael Turner, who beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 152 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 30 receiving yards. With this performance, Turner was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 15. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Kurt Warner, who got by the Minnesota Vikings defense for 270 passing yards and 1 passing td.

“We’re going to use this win as a building block,” Elvis Impersonators coach Brandon Mannie said.

Twee Twerps were helped out in a losing cause by a 22 point effort from Steve Smith, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 165 receiving yards and 1 receiving td in addition to 9 rushing yards. “Turnovers killed us,” Twee Twerps coach Bob Filipy said.

Causing further embarrassment, Twee Twerps could have scored 97 points and gotten the win with their best lineup, but Bob Filipy left key players like Antonio Bryant and his corresponding 16 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Elvis Impersonators to 11-4-1, and drops Twee Twerps to a record of 10-5-1.

Coming up in week 16, the 12-3-1 Squishy Fuzz are at Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 3.3-point underdog.

San Quentin Saints drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 15.

This brings the record for Squishy Fuzz to 12-3-1, and drops San Quentin Saints to a record of 11-3-2.

Coming up in week 16, Squishy Fuzz are at the 11-4-1 Elvis Impersonators, where Elvis Impersonators are an early 3.3-point underdog.
